Our way of understanding consulting
In Direction & Results We believe that a municipal planning tool should not complicate technical management, but rather contribute clarity, focus and shared criteria. That's why we designed our Impact-Viability Matrix (IViB), A practical template that helps prioritize actions green and blue infrastructure with a technical, environmental and management basis, without the need for complex software or endless consultancies.
The matrix is inspired by change management and continuous improvement methodologies, such as those promoted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 37101 on sustainable development in communities) and the guidelines of the European Commission on urban green planning and climate adaptation. Both highlight an essential idea: simplicity and traceability of criteria They are strategic for making sustainable and transparent decisions in local government.
Our approach combines the analysis of environmental, social and urban impact with the evaluation of technical, economic and organizational feasibility, generating an automatic ranking that guides the prioritization of projects and their presentation to committees or calls for proposals. Thus, each action is evaluated not only for its cost or ambition, but also for its tangible return for citizens and real municipal execution capacity.
We apply this logic to all our institutional consulting services: Green and Blue Infrastructure Strategy, Environmental Project Management and Institutional communication with a citizen focus, aligned with the principles of the Spanish Urban Agenda and the European Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change.
Because to transform the territory with real impact, it is not enough to have projects: We need to know which ones to activate first, how to measure their progress, and how to demonstrate their value to the city.
